David;
Good luck on your success of starting a new FG. We have been working on starting one in TN as well, and I wish I had the guts (and the money) to devote to the start-up as much as you have.
We have recently established a board, and once we get a building and the business actually starts flowing, I will then leave my current job. But being single, having steady income coming in and insurance (along with responsibilities) I have to stay the course right now.
Thank you for believing in what FG has started, and keep talking with them as they have a lot of great people to help you along the way (shawn, revphil, man behind the curtain etc.) they're all GREAT!!!
Sincerely,
Shawn M. Campbell

Well, I have gone and done it. Today I gave my 2 week notice to the
boss man. It became quickly apparent to me that juggling a job and
working towards Free Geek Vancouver was not going to happen. I want
all my energy for this project, not just what was left over after an 8
hour shift. No more dipping my toe in the water on this one.... this
is a full on jump and scream underwater where no one can hear you kind
of feeling.
