see, now, that's exactly what i did!!! okay, so not all the cards are
identical, and i think one is agp.  but they simply *refuse* to all work
at once.  at one point i had three going--the onboard card acting for
the reference monitor-- but i couldn't possibly get more, and there were
no helpful error messages, just solid system freeze-ups.

i thought perhaps y'all had some fancy trick, like two dual-head nvidias
or some such.

perhaps you could post Xfree conf file and the models of cards?  i'm
really at a loss as to where i went wrong, so maybe duplicating a known
good configuration is the way to go.
