I found Labels by looking at Help in Open Office. I searched for "Labels"
and it came up with "Create new" which I looked at.

The procedure is click on File then New then Labels. The box that opens up
looks very much like the Windows version.

In testing Open Office I found it useful to go through Tools -> Options and
change some things. I changed the ruler _and_ the tab stops to inches
instead of centimeters, and somewhere in there (or maybe under Configure
instead of Options) there is the choice to have colored tabs. When I opened
the label dialog box again the tabs being in color really made them more
visible.
